Will’s journey into product
design and invention really started on a farm in Minnesota.
He credits his father with providing an environment where
he was able to build and create from an early age. Along
the way, he says, he “…more or less became
comfortable in his own creative skin.”
When the time came, it seemed natural for Will to build
on these sensibilities by attending the Minneapolis College
of Art and Design. It was while getting his formal design
training that Will found a useful theme: The convergence
of the artistic (color, form, expression) and the technical
(mechanics, electronics, and generally making things work).
To this day, just about everything that Will produces is
an expression of that theme.
Along the way, Will has worked as a staff illustrator
for a woodworking magazine, a concept designer of off-highway
vehicles (forklifts, tractors, excavators), a builder of
special effects for motion pictures, a designer of imaginative
retail displays, and lots of seasonal consumer products-
including Halloween décor items, costumes, and Easter
products.
Today and over the next few years, Will’s goal is
to devise a portfolio, so to speak, of money-making intellectual
properties, following three basic steps:
1. The conception and development of ideas,
2. The securing of a recognized intellectual property based
on said ideas, and
3. Marketing products via licensing and/or other channels.
If any of this intrigues you as a potential investor or
licensee, please consider this an invitation to enquire
by contacting Will directly at the address given.
