Mr. Niskanen is happy to announce that today his latest US Patent has been issued. US Utility Patent 6,655,440, entitled Decorative Light Defusing Novelty Lamp, describes a basic mechanical technique that in turn serves as the genesis of a number of fun, colorful lamps and toys. Many of Will's new products made their public debut at Transworld's 22nd Halloween, Costume and Party Industry show on March 10-13, 2006, in Rosemont, IL. The display Will created involved a unique darkened environment where Will's items could be seen in their, uh, best light. Will finds trade shows such as these to be very useful in establishing- and continuing- relationships within the industry.

The US Patent and Trademark Office added another Will Niskanen patent to its files today. US Patent D174,851, entitled Golf Ball Shaped Leash Holder, outlines the first of several novel yet practical designs that Will plans to offer to the burgeoning pet industry.

Looking to find a fresh take on the Halloween season, Will was featured in the October issue of The Rake, a popular Twin Cities arts and entertainment magazine.
